Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. Their contact details can be found in the „Notice Concerning the Controller“ section of this privacy policy.
How do we collect your data?
Your data is collected, on the one hand, by you providing it to us. This may, for example, be data that you enter into a contact form.

What do we use your data for?
Part of the data is collected to ensure the error-free provision of the website. Other data may be used to analyse your user behaviour. Where contracts can be concluded or initiated via the website, the transmitted data is also processed for contract offers, orders or other job requests.
What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right at any time to obtain free information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the rectification or erasure of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time for the future. In addition, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
You are welcome to contact us at any time regarding this or any other data protection questions.
Analytics tools and third-party tools
When visiting this website, your browsing behaviour may be statistically analysed. This is primarily done using so-called analytics programs.

Consent can be revoked at any time.
Data processing on behalf of a controller
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the aforementioned service. This is a legally required data protection agreement that ensures that personal data of our website visitors is processed only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

The data controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses or similar).
Retention period
Unless a more specific storage period has been specified in this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing ceases to apply. If you assert a justified request for erasure or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be erased, provided we have no other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g. retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, erasure will take place after these reasons cease to apply.
General information on the legal basis for data processing on this website
Provided you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR, provided special categories of data are processed in accordance with Art. 9(1) GDPR. In the event of explicit consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, the data processing is also carried out on the basis of Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies or to access to information on your end device (e.g. via device fingerprinting), the data processing is additionally carried out on the basis of Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent may be revoked at any time. If your data is required for the performance of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Furthermore, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR if it is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation. Data processing may also be carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legal bases relevant in each individual case are informed about in the following paragraphs of this privacy policy.
Recipients of personal data
As part of our business activities, we work with various external bodies. In some cases, this also requires the transfer of personal data to these external bodies. We only pass on personal data to external bodies if this is necessary for the performance of a contract, if we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. passing on data to tax authorities), if we have a legitimate interest in the disclosure pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, or if another legal basis permits the data transfer. When using data processors, we only pass on our customers' personal data on the basis of a valid data processing agreement. In the case of joint processing, a joint controllership agreement is concluded.
Withdrawal of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You can revoke consent that has already been given at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out up to the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)
IF PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6(1)(E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT, ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, AT ANY TIME TO PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR AFFECTED PERSONAL DATA UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(1) GDPR).
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR SUCH MARKETING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING TO THE EXTENT THAT IT IS ASSOCIATED WITH SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 PARA. 2 GDPR).
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects shall have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint shall be without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a standard, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done to the extent that it is technically feasible.
Access, rectification and erasure
In accordance with the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free-of-charge information about your stored personal data, their origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing, and, where applicable, a right to the rectification or erasure of this data. You can contact us at any time regarding this matter or if you have any further questions on the subject of personal data.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time for this purpose. The right to restriction of processing applies in the following cases:
- If you contest the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we generally require time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data was or is unlawful, you may request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.
- When we no longer need your personal data, but you require it for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of its erasure.
- If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Article 21(1) GDPR, a balancing exercise must be carried out between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests override the other, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such data may – with the exception of storage – only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.
SSL or TLS encryption
For reasons of security and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of the browser changes from „http://“ to „https://“ and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.
When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Objection to promotional emails
The use of contact details published in the context of the imprint obligation for sending unsolicited advertising and information materials is hereby objected to. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam emails.
4. Data collection on this website
Cookies
Our website uses so-called „cookies“. Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or your web browser carries out an automatic deletion.
Cookies can originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services from third-party companies within websites (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping basket function or the display of videos). Other cookies can be used to evaluate user behaviour or for advertising purposes.
Cookies that are required for the electronic communication process, for the provision of certain functions requested by you (e.g. for the shopping basket function) or for the optimisation of the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG); the consent can be revoked at any time.
You can configure your browser to notify you about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies on a case-by-case basis, exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Deactivating cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
Should further cookies and services be used on this website, you can find details of this in this privacy policy.
Real Cookie Banner
Our website uses the consent technology of Real Cookie Banner to obtain your consent for the storage of certain cookies on your device or for the use of certain technologies, and to document this in compliance with data protection laws. The provider of this technology is devowl.io GmbH, Tannet 12, 94539 Grafling, Germany (hereinafter referred to as „Real Cookie Banner“).
Real Cookie Banner is installed locally on our servers, so no connection is established with the servers of the provider of Real Cookie Banner. Real Cookie Banner stores a cookie in your browser in order to be able to assign the consents you have given or their revocation. The data collected in this way are stored until you ask us to delete them, delete the Real Cookie Banner cookie yourself or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
Real Cookie Banner is used to obtain the legally required consents for the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(c) of the GDPR.
server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Server request time
- IP address
These data will not be merged with other data sources.
The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of their website – for this purpose, the server log files must be collected.
Contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact data you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, provided your request is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of enquiries directed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.
The data you enter into the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent for storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
Enquiry by email, telephone or fax
If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your enquiry, including all personal data resulting therefrom (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We will not pass on these data without your consent.
The data sent by you to us via contact enquiries will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.
Doctolib
On our website, you have the option of booking appointments with us. We use Doctolib to book appointments. The provider is Doctolib GmbH, Mehringdamm 51, 10961 Berlin (hereinafter referred to as „Doctolib“).
For the purpose of booking an appointment, please enter the requested details and your preferred date in the designated form on our website or our profile on Doctolib. The data entered will be used for planning, conducting and, where applicable, following up on the appointment. The appointment data is stored for us on the servers of Doctolib, whose privacy policy can be viewed here: https://media.doctolib.com/image/upload/v1682432985/legal/B2C-PrivacyPolicy-Apr-23-DE.pdf.
The data you have entered will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent for storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in making the scheduling of appointments with interested parties and customers as straightforward as possible. Where corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's terminal equipment (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Consent may be revoked at any time.
Data processing on behalf of a controller
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the aforementioned service. This is a legally required data protection agreement that ensures that personal data of our website visitors is processed only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
5. Analytics tools and advertising
Matomo
This website uses the open-source web analytics service Matomo.
Using Matomo, we are able to collect and analyse data on the use of our website by visitors. This enables us, amongst other things, to find out when specific page views occurred and which region they came from. In addition, we collect various log files (e.g. IP address, referrer, browsers and operating systems used) and can measure whether our website visitors perform certain actions (e.g. clicks, purchases and the like).
The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its web offering and its advertising. Where corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's terminal equipment (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Consent may be revoked at any time.
Hosting
We host Matomo exclusively on our own servers, so all analytics data remains with us and is not passed on.
6. Newsletter
Newsletter data
If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Other data will not be collected or will only be collected on a voluntary basis. We use newsletter service providers described below to process the newsletter.
Brevo
This website uses Brevo for the delivery of newsletters. The provider is Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany.
Brevo is a service that can be used to organize and analyze, among other things, the shipping of newsletters. The data you enter for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored on the servers of Sendinblue GmbH in Germany.
Data analysis by Brevo
With the help of Brevo, we are able to analyze our newsletter campaigns. This way, for example, we can see whether a newsletter message is opened and which links were clicked on if applicable. In this way, we can, among other things, determine which links are clicked on particularly often.
In addition, we can see whether certain predefined actions were performed after opening/clicking on a particular page (conversion rate). This way, for example, we can see whether you made a purchase after clicking on the newsletter.
Brevo also allows us to segment (or „cluster“) the newsletter recipients based on various categories. For example, the newsletter recipients can be divided according to age, gender, or place of residence. In this way, the newsletters can be better adapted to the respective target groups.
If you do not want to receive an analysis from Brevo, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a corresponding link in each newsletter message for this purpose.
For detailed information about the functions of Brevo, please refer to the following link: https://www.brevo.com/de/newsletter-software/.
Legal basis
Data processing is carried out based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. The legality of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.
Retention period
The data you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter, either with us or with the newsletter service provider. After unsubscribing from the newsletter, the data will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list. Data that was stored with us for other purposes will remain unaffected by this.
After you are removed from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored in a blacklist by us or the newsletter service provider, if necessary to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist will only be used for this purpose and not combined with other data. This serves both your and our interests in complying with legal requirements regarding the sending of newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The storage in the blacklist is not time-limited. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.
For more information, please refer to the Brevo privacy policy at: https://www.brevo.com/de/datenschutz-uebersicht/ as well https://www.brevo.com/de/legal/privacypolicy/.
Data processing on behalf of a controller
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the aforementioned service. This is a legally required data protection agreement that ensures that personal data of our website visitors is processed only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
Supplement: Online appointment booking via Vereto
The online appointment scheduling buttons on this website lead to the external booking form from Vereto. The provider is concreativ GmbH, Forstenrieder Allee 70, 81476 Munich. By following this link, you will leave our website and open the booking page on Vereto.
To process your appointment request, we process the data you provide in the booking form, namely your name, email address, if applicable, phone number, desired date and any voluntary information. This information is used for scheduling the appointment, responding to your request and preparing the agreed-upon conversation. Please limit voluntary information to the information required for the appointment.
Processing for the initiation or performance of a treatment agreement is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Where health data are necessary for care or treatment, they are processed under the conditions of Article 9(2)(h) GDPR in conjunction with section 22(1), no. 1(b) of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Where explicit consent is obtained, the relevant processing is based on Article 6(1)(a) and Article 9(2)(a) GDPR. Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
Vereto provides the technical processing of appointment requests for our practice. The practice of Psychotherapy Pinder remains responsible for the processing of your information for appointment scheduling. We store your information for as long as it is necessary for processing the request and conducting the appointment. Legal retention obligations, particularly for documents of subsequent treatment, remain unaffected.
Alternatively, you can contact us by phone or email. Further information about the provider and its website can be found here. Data protection at Vereto. This provider notice does not replace the information provided above by our practice regarding the processing of your appointment request.
Supplement to the limited use of Doctolib
Our practice will continue to use Doctolib as a practice tool until March 31, 2027. For video conferences, we will use Doctolib until December 31, 2026.
The information in the section „Doctolib“ above should be read in conjunction with this time-specific and functional clarification: The current online appointment scheduling buttons on this website lead to Vereto. The continued use of Doctolib in our practice remains independent of this.
The stated dates denote the end of the respective use. They are not absolute deletion deadlines for data that has already been processed. The above-described purposes and the statutory retention obligations apply to the storage and deletion of such data.
Depression Self-Check (PHQ-9) and Anxiety Self-Check (GAD-7)
On our website, we offer voluntary self-assessments for personal orientation: the PHQ-9 for depressive symptoms in German and English, and the GAD-7 for anxiety symptoms in German. The self-assessments do not replace a medical or psychotherapeutic diagnosis. Registration or the provision of your name or email address is not required for use.
Evaluation exclusively in your browser
Your answers and the calculated point value calculated from them are processed exclusively in the memory of the respective test in your browser. The tests do not transmit this information to the practice, the web server, a shipping service, or the website’s analysis tools. We do not store answers and results in a database or in cookies, local storage, or session storage. When the test is loaded again, the entries are reset.
The practice cannot view your answers and results and does not monitor the tests. The additional help information for question 9 of the PHQ-9 is also displayed locally only; this does not trigger a message to the practice or an external service.
Website access and optional printing
When accessing the test pages and associated files, the usual technical access data is collected regardless of your answers. The sections of this privacy policy regarding hosting, server log files, cookies, and analysis tools apply here. The PHQ-9 and GAD-7 themselves do not use cookies and do not contain their own analysis or marketing functions. When using the print function, you can print your result via the print dialog of your browser or save it as a file. Any printed copies and files created by you remain valid even after the test is reloaded and are your responsibility.
Appointment booking and external assistance services
The links to the free initial consultation and to booking appointments open the external booking portal Vereto. Answers and test results are not transmitted in this case. For information that you subsequently enter yourself in the booking form, the section „Additional information: Online appointment booking via Vereto“ applies. If you open external help resources or source links, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies to visiting these websites; the tests do not transmit any answers or results there either.
Resilience check and access to your report
The controller is Pinder Psychotherapy Practice, Petra Pinder. Contact details and your general data protection rights are set out elsewhere in this privacy notice. For questions about the check or to withdraw consent, contact info@psychotherapy-pinder.de.
Voluntary check and consent
Your answers and free immediate result are initially processed in your browser. With your explicit consent, your email address and five area scores are transmitted to the practice server hosted by ALL-INKL for the detailed report. Individual answers are not transmitted. The scores may reveal information about psychological strain. The legal bases are Article 6(1)(a) and, where health data are involved, Article 9(2)(a) GDPR. Providing this information is voluntary; the immediate result remains available without this consent. The check offers orientation and does not replace a medical or psychotherapeutic diagnosis.
Protected access and retention
The five scores, language, creation time and consent text version are encrypted on the practice server. The report is accessible for seven days. Access is then blocked; expired records are removed by a deletion task triggered hourly. Your additional access code is displayed only in your browser and is neither emailed nor stored in plain text on the server. Your email address is processed for sending and is not stored in plain text in the report record. The temporary report tables are excluded from the additional UpdraftPlus backups to Google Drive. Technical backups maintained by the hosting provider follow its backup and deletion procedures; expired reports remain blocked after restoration.
Email delivery through Brevo
Brevo sends the requested access email. It receives your recipient address and a neutral email containing an access link. Answers, scores, traffic-light result and access code are not transmitted to Brevo. The provider also processes technical delivery and usage data, including delivery events and detected opens and link clicks. Open detection may be incomplete depending on the email application. The account retains email events for one month and does not store email previews. Further information about Brevo, possible data transfers and your rights is provided in the newsletter-provider section.
Optional practice newsletter
Newsletter subscription is separate and voluntary and is not required for your report. If you also select it, your email address, time and consent text version are transmitted to the practice newsletter list at Brevo. A separate confirmation email is sent; subscription is completed only after you confirm it (double opt-in). Scores and areas of strain are not stored as newsletter contact attributes. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in each newsletter.
Withdrawal, deletion and technical protection
You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future, without affecting the lawfulness of processing already carried out. To request deletion of a specific report, provide the reference from your access link, but not your access code. Without this reference, we cannot identify an encrypted record using your email address. To prevent abusive requests, the practice server briefly processes hashed technical identifiers, including identifiers derived from the IP address. These protection records expire after two hours and are removed by the next deletion task. The check itself sets no analytics or marketing cookies and does not transmit results to the website's analytics tools. The check and report do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
